A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was sexually abused by three female “rapists” who had offered him transport to Mazowe, police have said.National police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the boy, whose identity could not be revealed due to his age, was offered transport to Mazowe on Saturday by a private vehicle which had four occupants, three females and a male driver.
Charamba said along the way, the women offered the boy food to eat. “He started feeling dizzy after he had finished the food. One of the female suspects sat on top of the victim’s stomach while others removed his trousers and started caressing his private parts. The victim became unconscious and could not account for what transpired thereafter,” Charamba said.
In Zimbabwe female rapist were on the prowl especially along the country’s highways attacking males whom they would have offered transport.
Charamba warned travellers not to use private vehicles as this exposed them to such attacks. “The boy woke up dumped on the roadside in Mazowe and discovered that his cellphone and cash amounting to $13 had been stolen,” she said.
In an unrelated matter, police have arrested two Israelis for allegedly exporting foreign currency to China. Charamba, confirmed the arrest saying the suspects were nabbed at Harare International Airport as they tried to sneak out with money exceeding the prescribed amount of $5 000.
“On 29 March 2015 at 1700hrs, two police officers based at ZRP Airport Police Post received a tip-off to the effect that two male Israelis wanted to smuggle excess cash out of the country to China,” she said.
“The police searched the two suspects and recovered a total of $12 025, R4 840 and 40 British pounds. The two were arrested and will appear in court soon,” Charamba said. Last year, the country’s tax authorities said Zimbabwe was losing millions of its cash through illegal exportation to other countries by syndicates sneaking out with cash above the stipulated $5 000.
Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Commissioner-General Gershem Pasi told Parliament that the country was losing a lot of money through these cash exports which was worsening the cash deficit in the country. newsday NEWS
